Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients in the operating room
Prepare the OR environment and maintain strict sterile technique during procedures
Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and delivering instruments and supplies promptly
Continuously monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the care team
Document perioperative care, treatments and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Support and educate families with clear, empathetic communication throughout the surgical experience

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Ohio
Pediatric experience or comfort working with children in an operating room setting
Perioperative nursing experience or interest in perioperative care; OR orientation provided
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Strong teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative protocols and operating room workflows
Sterile technique and infection prevention practices
Pediatric assessment and age-appropriate communication
Familiarity with electronic medical records and perioperative documentation
Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm under pressure
