Shift Type: 4-hour OR shifts (schedule as assigned, days vary) - OR (Pediatrics)

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in the pediatric operating room
Prepare and maintain sterile field and operative equipment for pediatric cases
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and perioperative team members
Assess pediatric patients pre- and post-operatively and document care clearly
Advocate for the child and family, offering compassionate support during procedures
Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to ensure competency and quality

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (or compact-license eligible)
Experience or strong interest in operating room nursing and pediatric patients
Current BLS required; PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working in a fast-paced surgical environment and following sterile technique
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
Skill in pediatric patient assessment and age-appropriate communication
Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and manage supplies/equipment
Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to safety protocols
Teamwork mindset with clear, respectful communication under pressure
