Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room: provide expert perioperative nursing support for pediatric and adult cases
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across pre-op, intra-op and PACU settings
• Provide on-call PACU coverage and after-hours post-anesthesia care when scheduled
• Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain a safe, efficient and patient-centered surgical process
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly to the team and families
• Support pediatric patients and families with age-appropriate care and reassurance

Qualifications

• Active RN license: Montana RN or Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications
• Experience as an OR circulator and with PACU duties preferred
• Comfort with on-call rotations and flexible post-op coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative care across pre-op, OR and PACU settings
• Intraoperative nursing skills and surgical instrumentation awareness
• Pediatric and adult post-anesthesia care knowledge
• Strong patient assessment, care planning and clinical decision-making
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical services unit
• Documentation and familiarity with common EMR workflows in surgical care
