Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for individuals in the MST specialty
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document clinical findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans and follow-up
• Educate patients and families about care plans, resources, and next steps
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support a respectful, trauma-informed environment tailored to MST patients

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure (must be valid in California or eligible to obtain)
• Minimum clinical experience in acute care, behavioral health, or specialty nursing preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS/TNCC as applicable or preferred
• Comfort working night shifts and adapting to per-diem schedules
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Experience or interest in MST-focused care is a strong plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to MST-related needs
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Skilled at building rapport with patients and providing clear education
