Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients with attention to detail
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately in the chart
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-focused care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Support unit operations during orientation and while covering per diem shifts

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or compact license eligible for NH practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Med/Surg experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to complete required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge including med administration and patient assessment
• Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent clinical judgment and prioritization under varying workloads
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude for per diem coverage
