Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
- Assess patient condition, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient progress in the electronic health record with attention to detail
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care needs
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Hampshire or eligible for licensure
- Medical-surgical nursing experience or demonstrated competence in med/surg care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred where applicable
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and patient care standards
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
- Patient assessment, wound care, and post-operative care skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities
