Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care with clinical excellence
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and discharge instructions
• Act as an advocate for patient safety, quality improvement and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Minimum Med/Surg clinical experience preferred (new graduates who shine are welcome to apply)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred when applicable
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices, patient assessment and documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
• Ability to triage, prioritize and manage a varied patient assignment
• Strong patient education and family communication abilities
• Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced hospital environment
