Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a collaborative, respectful unit culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Hampshire) or applicable compact/reciprocal licensure
• Clinical experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (facility-required or obtained upon hire)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with medication administration
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg standards of care and protocols
• Patient assessment, IV therapy, and medication administration skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff
