Start Date: 04-20-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with scheduler), RN - Med/Surg (Peds). Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for pediatric med/surg patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and document per policy
Monitor and assess patient status, reporting changes to the care team
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ability to obtain WA licensure if not currently licensed in Washington
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) highly recommended
Clinical experience or training in med/surg and pediatric care preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of pediatric med/surg nursing principles and best practices
Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
Accurate clinical documentation and charting in electronic health records
Patient and family education skills with a compassionate approach
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
