Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate med/surg nursing care to pediatric patients with skill and heart
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring responses
- Assess patient conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Document patient care thoroughly and clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and follow-up care
- Participate in orientation, unit initiatives, and quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS preferred
- Clinical experience or training in medical-surgical nursing and pediatrics
- Comfort working as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
- Ability to complete hospital credentialing, background check, and required screenings
Education
- Active RN license in Washington required
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of pediatric med/surg nursing principles
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Familiarity with clinical workflows and willingness to learn facility systems
