Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor pediatric and med/surg patients, making thoughtful clinical decisions
Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth patient transitions
Document patient status and interventions accurately in the medical record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in California or eligibility to obtain one
Experience in med/surg nursing; pediatric experience is a strong plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered environment
Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with pediatric growth, development, and family-centered care
Proficient documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
