Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care to patients with attention to safety and comfort
• Perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create and implement patient-centered plans
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to maintain high standards of care
• Support family education and communication to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state privileges
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and pediatric patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to multitask, and effective communication
• Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements such as immunizations and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Pediatric care considerations and family-centered communication
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Team collaboration and effective handoff communication
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and unit workflows
