Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for med/surg patients with pediatric needs
Assess and monitor patients, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy to support recovery and discharge
Participate in orientation and training to stay current with facility practices and pediatric protocols
Maintain accurate charting and comply with regulatory and facility documentation standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (or compact RN with ability to practice in MO)
Med/Surg experience with pediatric exposure or pediatric nursing experience
BLS required; PALS preferred
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health/immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and pediatric observation skills
Medication administration and IV management
Electronic health record proficiency and accurate documentation
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced unit
Patient/family education with a warm, reassuring approach
