Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to med/surg pediatric patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Document care and patient progress in the electronic health record clearly and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain unit standards and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; PALS encouraged or required for pediatric focus
• Experience or strong interest in med/surg and pediatric patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented care environment
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings as required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric and med/surg nursing fundamentals and assessment skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Solid clinical judgment and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in busy clinical settings
