Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality med/surg nursing care with a focus on pediatric patients
Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and clinical changes accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
Participate in orientation, unit training, and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with demonstrable Med/Surg and Pediatric experience
Valid Washington state RN license (to be active prior to assignment)
Comfortable working in a pediatric med/surg environment and collaborating with a team
Strong documentation, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
Willingness to complete any required facility orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing principles applied to pediatric populations
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
Electronic medical record documentation and adherence to protocols
