Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg pediatric unit
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state or compact/eligible for WA licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Clinical experience or strong interest in Medical-Surgical and Pediatric nursing
Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-first mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and pediatric care principles
Skill with medication administration, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
