Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for med/surg and pediatric patients
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans and discharge instructions
Support a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for children and adults alike
Participate actively in orientation and unit-based learning to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Washington state licensure required
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and pediatric nursing
Willingness to complete required orientation (orientation indicated as required)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Basic Life Support (BLS) and other unit-required certifications as applicable (obtain if not currently held)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient monitoring in med/surg and pediatric populations
Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
Patient- and family-centered education and communication
Team collaboration, time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
Familiarity with electronic health record charting workflows
