Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
• Assess patients’ conditions, identify changes, and coordinate timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
• Support unit operations during orientation and training of new staff as needed

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts (or compact license where applicable)
• Experience or interest in Medical-Surgical nursing and pediatric care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; pediatric certifications (PALS) a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care setting and collaborating with care teams
• Able to pass standard background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Orientation is provided — perfect if you’re transitioning units or refreshing skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med/surg and pediatric nursing principles
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a dynamic clinical environment
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical record documentation (training provided as needed)
