Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care for med/surg pediatric and adult patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop patient-centered interventions
• Administer medications and treatments timely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support
• Document care in the medical record according to facility standards
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or Compact RN license eligible
• Clinical experience in med/surg and/or pediatrics preferred
• BLS required; PALS and ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass facility orientation and competency evaluations
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Current immunizations and any facility-required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid med/surg nursing knowledge and pediatric basics
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Effective documentation and time management
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
