Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 12.5-hour per diem shifts; specific start and end times not provided by the facility; days and exact hours vary based on unit needs (per diem staffing)

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
- Perform timely and accurate assessments, implement care plans, and document changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligible for state licensure
- Clinical experience in Med/Surg nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and other certifications a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced unit
- Current CPR certification and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid Med/Surg clinical knowledge and assessment skills
- Proficiency with IV medications and common inpatient procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Good prioritization, time management, and teamwork abilities
- Patient education and discharge planning skills
