Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Medical-Surgical unit
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and recognize changes that require escalation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to create effective care plans
• Document patient care and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Georgia license preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment with 12+ hour shifts
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
• Previous Med/Surg experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred where available; equivalent clinical training considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively during long shifts
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, therapists, and support staff
