Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, providing compassionate, evidence-based care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain unit safety, infection control, and equipment readiness

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) clinical practice experience, with a focus or interest in Medical-Surgical care
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Comfortable with Med/Surg assessments, medication administration, and clinical documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a collaborative care team
• Per-diem availability and flexibility to cover 12.5-hour shifts as scheduled

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) - active RN status expected

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, IV medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in fast-paced situations
• Customer-focused approach to patient and family communication
