Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to adult patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes promptly
• Assess patients regularly, develop and implement nursing plans, and document care clearly in the medical record
• Administer medications and therapies safely and in accordance with policy and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Perform and interpret cardiac monitoring, notify the team of significant rhythm changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support safe transitions of care
• Participate in unit-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed in posting
• Clinical experience or strong competence in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry monitoring
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist as part of onboarding
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, vaccinations, TB testing, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills, including rhythm recognition
• Solid medical-surgical nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Proficient documentation and charting in electronic health records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced hospital settings
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond effectively in urgent situations
• Familiarity with unit competency processes and adherence to safety protocols
