Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following best practices and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Monitor patient progress, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to providers promptly
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (required)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (listed as core skill)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning for medical-surgical populations
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Wound care and post-op monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Infection control, safety, and clinical escalation protocols
• Time management, critical thinking, and effective interdisciplinary communication
