Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care on a Medical-Surgical unit
• Assess patients’ conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient needs and promote a healing, respectful environment
• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives to enhance outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Georgia (must be eligible to practice)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications encouraged
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Prior Med-Surg experience preferred but motivated new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and procedures
• Proficient in medication administration and electronic charting
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients safely
• Skilled at patient/family education and bedside teaching
• Competent with basic cardiac monitoring, wound care, and IV therapy
• Collaborative approach to working within interdisciplinary teams
