Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, rotating weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to pregnant women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for deliveries
Perform triage assessments and manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) care
Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and on-call providers to ensure safe patient outcomes
Monitor fetal heart rates using OBIX EFM system and follow AWHONN guidelines

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
Current BLS, ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Ability to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Experience with Pitocin administration and OBIX monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of labor and delivery processes
Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a rural hospital setting with limited resources
