Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based labor and delivery nursing care to birthing people and their families
Monitor maternal and fetal status continuously and respond quickly to changes
Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery and immediate postpartum care
Perform thorough assessments, document care accurately, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on labor progress, delivery expectations and postpartum care
Support safe handoffs and transitions of care to ensure continuity and quality

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and fetal monitoring certification preferred
Previous labor & delivery clinical experience preferred (new grads with strong OB clinical background encouraged to apply)
Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in maternal and fetal monitoring and interpretation
Comfortable managing labor progression and common intrapartum interventions
Able to provide patient/family education with empathy and clarity
Practical documentation skills and attention to detail
Calm under pressure with effective prioritization abilities
