Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care with compassion and professionalism
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient status clearly and accurately
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and aftercare
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS encouraged or preferred
- Current clinical experience in acute care settings is preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle fast-paced clinical situations
- Compassionate patient education and family engagement
