Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions safely and effectively
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
- Monitor patient status and escalate concerns in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical records and comply with policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS or specialty certifications encouraged where applicable
- Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt quickly to new settings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and safety protocols
- Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care clearly
- Excellent clinical judgment and time management during 8-hour shifts
- Team-player attitude and ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Customer-service mindset when interacting with patients and families
