Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in ICU and PCU settings
• Assess and monitor patients continuously, interpreting data and responding to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful times
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Support unit performance expectations and adhere to facility standards and policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to obtain Nebraska licensure or hold a compact RN license
• ICU and/or PCU experience; familiarity with high-acuity patient care
• Comfort and experience working 12-hour shifts and rotating day/night schedules
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Willingness to meet client performance expectations and adapt to unit protocols

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac care
• Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and act quickly in emergent situations
• Clear documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
• Compassionate patient and family communication during high-stress moments
