Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, including hemodynamics and ventilator settings
• Administer medications and titrate drips following physician orders and protocols
• Respond quickly and effectively to patient emergencies and code situations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• ICU experience preferred; strong critical care skills a plus
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and complex monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work per-diem schedule and adapt to variable assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of relevant critical care courses or certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and advanced monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• IV/central line care and complex medication administration
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation best practices
• Strong clinical judgment, delegation, and time-management abilities
