Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator data to guide interventions
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Louisiana licensure or eligibility preferred
• Experience in an ICU or critical care setting, ideally with adult critical care patients
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Comfort managing ventilators, lines, drips, and advanced monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in rotating schedules

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Ventilator management and pulmonary care
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Intravenous medication administration and titration
• Electronic health record documentation and care coordination
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced, variable environments
