Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to adult patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, sepsis, stroke, and more
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Manage ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor for changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nursing aides
Float to PCU or Med-Surg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam on clinical skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with ICU drips, telemetry, and ventilator management
Ability to work rotating shifts including every other weekend
Must comply with facility policies (no artificial nails, etc.)
Driver's license required for radius verification (50-mile rule)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating multiple cardiac and sedation drips
Proficient in telemetry interpretation and strip documentation
Skilled in ventilator management and troubleshooting
Strong assessment skills for critically ill patients
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
