Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 0630-1830 or 1830-0630, rotating every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as ordered
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips with GE monitors and tele tech oversight
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nurse aides
Participate in open-book exams during orientation to ensure competency
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Current and active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at submission
Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius rule
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Comfortable with artificial nail policy - no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in a fast-paced ICU setting
Proficiency in titrating vasoactive and sedative drips
Experience with ventilator management and high-flow oxygen devices
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms independently
