Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and assess complex patient conditions, intervene quickly, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications, manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment following protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge needs with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on unit policy
• Critical care experience (ICU) preferred; prior experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour ICU shifts and collaborate in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in critical care nursing principles and ICU protocols
• Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent teamwork, prioritization, and time management skills
• Calm decision-making under pressure and strong patient advocacy
