Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care with calm, confident assessments
Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity to keep the department running smoothly
Administer medications, start IVs, and carry out physician orders safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the record
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California or eligibility to obtain it
Comfortable working in an Emergency Room environment with fast-paced decision making
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Current immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
Familiarity with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills in high-stress situations
Ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining patient safety
