Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center emergency room
• Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of conditions including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, and strokes
• Administer common drips and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver top-notch patient care
• Float to the OBS unit and freestanding ER as needed, ensuring seamless patient transitions
• Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam with a required 90% score

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (NRP preferred)
• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience is a must
• Valid driver's license (will be used to verify distance from facility)
• Ability to pass a pass/fail exam during orientation

• Expertise in emergency nursing and trauma care
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
