Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage and assess patients with acute conditions including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, administer medications, and perform life-saving interventions
• Maintain a calm, organized environment in a fast-paced 24-bed ED with 3 trauma bays
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENTC certifications required
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Ability to read and interpret ECG rhythms (no monitor techs)
• Experience with Paragon EMR preferred
• Comfortable floating to other units you are qualified for

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergency management
• Proficient in ECG rhythm interpretation and advanced cardiac life support
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
• Knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory support equipment
