Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Triage and assess patients quickly to prioritize care and improve outcomes
• Administer medications, start IVs, and carry out emergency interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Respond to codes and trauma activations with confidence and strong clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or ability to obtain NC license) - compact license holders encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Emergency Department experience preferred)
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or able to obtain quickly
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and triage skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment expertise
• Familiarity with emergency procedures and code responses
• Skill with IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs and monitor critical patients
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and multitasking under pressure
