Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED environment
• Triage, assess, and prioritize patients based on clinical need and acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States — ability to obtain Hawaii licensure is expected
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or must be obtainable upon hire
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred; new grads with strong ED clinical training encouraged to apply
• Current, unrestricted professional licensure and relevant clinical certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment in emergency settings
• Proficiency in emergency nursing interventions and critical care basics
• Comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity patient populations
• Skilled in documentation and using electronic health record systems
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure during high-stress events
