Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients in the emergency department
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary emergency interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver seamless care
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the facility’s charting system
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with ED best practices
• Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring compassionate communication during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous ED/ER experience or strong emergency care skills preferred
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and function effectively in high-acuity situations
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN considered with relevant ED experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Familiarity with ED workflows, triage systems, and critical care procedures
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Calm, decisive critical thinking under pressure
• Accurate and efficient clinical documentation
