Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately
• Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration and advanced interventions
• Respond to critical events with calm, evidence-based action
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and support staff to deliver seamless care
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the clinical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge plans
• Participate in orientation and mentorship to support unit consistency and quality
• Contribute to a culture of safety, respect and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (ability to hold or obtain NH licensure preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtained soon after hire
• Previous ED/ER clinical experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment and prioritization skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency setting and responding to emergencies

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing protocols
• IV therapy, medication administration and advanced cardiac life support knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Team communication, handoff processes and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to manage multiple critical patients and prioritize care effectively
