Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment and triage for patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Deliver high-quality nursing care including medication administration, IV management, and wound care
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Respond decisively to emergencies and acute changes in patient condition
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and accurately in the chart
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide education and compassionate support
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the ED

Qualifications

• Current, active RN licensure appropriate for practice (state licensure requirements apply)
• Prior experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass requisite background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency nursing assessment skills
• Medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Comfortable working in a team-based, fast-paced ED environment
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation (orientation provided as needed)
• Compassionate patient and family communication and education
