Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a busy ED
• Stabilize and provide evidence-based nursing interventions for acute conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy with precision
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to streamline patient flow
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Maintain a safe, efficient environment and advocate for patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — required
• Experience in Emergency Department/ER or strong emergency nursing background
• Comfort with 12.5-hour shifts and flexible per-diem scheduling
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, triage skills, and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; customer-focused bedside manner

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Cardiac monitoring and basic arrhythmia recognition
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound management
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation proficiency
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-acuity patients
• Calm, decisive critical thinking and strong situational awareness
