Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients to ensure timely treatment and safety
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision and calm
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care with clarity and empathy
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve quality, patient flow, and ED performance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Familiarity with ED workflows, rapid decision-making, and trauma care basics
• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills under pressure
• Ability to use electronic medical records and charting tools
