Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately, prioritizing patient safety
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions and medications per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Monitor, document and communicate changes in patient condition clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Maintain patient flow and contribute to efficient throughput during busy shifts

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Hawaii (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and acute care assessment skills
• Ability to manage trauma and urgent care cases in a high-acuity setting
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care proficiency
• Comfortable with EHR documentation and common clinical workflows
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities
