Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour ED/ER shifts (exact start/end times vary by schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage emergency patients rapidly and accurately to prioritize care
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly in the chart
Respond to urgent and emergent situations with calm, skilled action
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Hampshire) or appropriate compact licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Prior Emergency Department or acute care experience preferred
Comfortable working 12.5-hour ED shifts and responding to high-acuity cases
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency patient assessment
IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency procedures
Basic ECG rhythm recognition and monitoring
Critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
Clear documentation and handoff communication
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and protocols
