Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize urgent needs
• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Perform critical interventions, administer medications, and monitor patient responses
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in Hawaii preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour ED shifts in a high-acuity environment
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ED experience is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in emergency assessment, triage, and rapid intervention
• Proficient with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Knowledge of ACLS protocols and emergency medication administration
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with trauma triage and ED workflows
• Calm under pressure with strong patient advocacy skills
