Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care for ED holds waiting for inpatient placement
Monitor cardiac telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units as needed to support the broader hospital team
Assist with ED patient care tasks such as vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background preferred with 2 years experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Comfortable with a pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Titration of cardiac medications
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and adaptability
