Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to a diverse population
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or Compact RN licensure where applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred where applicable
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred (acute care, skilled nursing, or related settings)
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently on per-diem shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Patient and family education techniques
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced clinical settings
